Dat kunnen materi\u00eble behoeftes zijn, zoals &#8216;geld&#8217; en &#8216;eten en drinken&#8217;. Het kunnen ook immateri\u00eble behoeftes zijn, zoals &#8216;mezelf kunnen zijn&#8217; en &#8216;respect&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>In our Western society, work often provides an answer to various other needs in life: the basic needs, the need for security, the need for acceptance, the need for self-development.<\/p>\n<p>Er is ook iets vreemds met werk. Het is in onze Westerse cultuur inderdaad de leverancier van vele levensbehoeftes. Tegelijkertijd geldt, dat om werk te vinden, om sterk genoeg te zijn voor de arbeidsmarkt, een aantal andere &#8216;lagere&#8217; levensbehoeftes eerst in voldoende mate vervuld moeten zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien, in onze Westerse samenleving is werk een &#8216;voornaam goed&#8217;. Dat geldt niet in alle culturen. Het is dus goed denkbaar dat jouw coachee met andere ogen kijkt naar werk, dan jij.<\/p>\n<p>In this exercise, we look at the coachee as a person rather than as a job seeker.
